Which invoice template should I use?
Use the freelance invoice template if you sell your time or your skills: design, writing, development, consulting, tutoring. Its lines are set up for hours times a rate, with room for fixed fees.
Use the contractor invoice template if your jobs have both labour and materials: renovation, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, cleaning. It keeps labour, materials and other charges apart so clients can see where the money went.
